TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE

“Trouble with the script”

I'm a little disappointed in this movie. What started out as a potentially insightful baseball-centric character piece devolved into a downright boring movie.

Trouble with the Curve is a 2012 sports-drama film directed by Robert Lorenz and starring Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams, Justin Timberlake, Matthew Lillard, and John Goodman. The film revolves around an aging baseball scout whose daughter joins him on a scouting trip.

This was Eastwood's first acting project since 2008's Gran Torino and his first acting role in a film he did not direct since his cameo in 1995's Casper.

Solid performances from Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake (surprisingly) despite the mediocre material they're given to work with. Towards the end, however, the script runs too long and loses the audience.
